The General Settings page allows administrators to configure the core functionality of the affiliate program. Below are the available options:

  1. Base affiliate link: Define the base structure of the affiliate link used across the site
  2. Prefix affiliate link: Specify a prefix for affiliate links, it’s this part:
  3. Affiliate Link Format: This follows the prefix. Make it affiliate’s encrypt username, user name or ID.
  4. Cookie expiration (days): Set the number of days the affiliate cookie will be ended.
  5. Restrict affiliate: If enabled, a product must be shared/promoted by the affiliate – under My account >> Affiliate >> Product dashboard >> before it can be affiliated. See more in this document.
    • Restrict time countdown (date): Set a countdown timer (in days) starting when an affiliate shares a product. Enter 0 to disable this restriction.
    • Display restrict time: Show the countdown or expiration time for promoted products on the affiliate’s My Account page.
  6. Override affiliate: Allows a new affiliate referral link to replace the previously assigned affiliate for a user.
  7. Ranking Update Method: Define how affiliate ranks are updated – Automatically with each order or Manually on a monthly schedule
    • Automatic: Updates with each completed order.
    • Manual: Admin updates ranks monthly. Use “Calculate and update affiliates rank” option to calculate and update affiliates’ rank, create schedule for the action
  8. Convert user to affiliate user: View the total number of users and affiliates. Use the Convert button to manually assign affiliate status to regular users. This may take time depending on how many users haven’t been converted yet.
  9. Register affiliate: Allow users to register as affiliates when they create an account.
    • Disable: Only admins can manually assign affiliate status.
    • Use register form: Display the affiliate registration form during account signup. Set up the form under “Affiliate register popup”
    • Immediate apply as affiliate: Automatically apply new users as affiliates upon account creation.
  10. Auto accept affiliate request: Enable automatic approval of affiliate registration requests, disable the option and the admin can approve/reject requests later under Affiliates page.
  11. Send email notification: Activate email notifications for affiliate-related events, such as registration approvals, payouts, and rank updates, as per configuration under Notifications page
  12. Account Affiliates Dashboard: Display the affiliate dashboard as a tab within the user’s My Account area
  13. Affiliates Dashboard title: Customize the title displayed for the affiliate dashboard section.
  14. Affiliate register popup: These settings apply when Register affiliate is “Use register form”.

    1. Register information label: Add custom labels to fields in the affiliate registration form
    2. Register policy: Display the affiliate registration policy during the signup process, ensuring transparency and compliance with program terms
